CLEAN COAL ENTERPRISES PVT. LTD.
Energy for the 21st Century

INNOVATING FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
Established in 2003, the journey of the organisation upheld by three brothers, Rajesh Agrawal, Sanjay Agrawal, and Rajeev Agrawal, has been a self-evident yet impactful one. The Agrawal brothers started their business career with a very small and modest coal trading and handling company. But their comprehensive approach of being first-generation entrepreneurs turned CCEPL into a renowned and largest coal washery operator in the country.
CCEPL operates coal washeries and railway sidings in the mineral-rich states of Chattisgarh, Orissa, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. CCEPL is continuously working to achieve its broader vision of establishing an integrated model of total fuel solutions by establishing state-of-the-art new generation washeries, logistics infrastructure, acquiring commercial mines, or implementing new innovations.

ABOUT US
The promoters of CLEAN COAL ENTERPRISES PVT. LTD. (CCEPL) established Hind Energy and Coal Beneficiation (I) Ltd. in 2005 with a beneficiation plant of 1.20 MTPA with a vision to provide clean and efficient fuel to its various customers. The promoters of the company made organic and inorganic expansion, and now, in a
little span of 15 years, CCEPL is one of the leading coal washery operators in India, having state-of-the-art coal washeries with a total capacity of approximately 15 MTPA at the strategic locations of SECL, MCL, and WCL. CCEPL has also started the establishment of its washing facilities near the pit heads of NCL and Raigarh area of SECL

COAL WASHING - A NOBLE PROFESSION
Environment & Economic Benefits of Washed Coal
Electricity plays an extremely important role in sustaining economic growth, social development, and the welfare of a nation. Coal-based electricity is a dominant source of electricity generation in India and is expected to remain the primary source of electricity in the short to medium term, i.e., for about 15 years. The use of coal raises environmental concerns at the same time. The impacts of increased coal utilisation will have increased environmental impacts from emissions of air pollutants during coal mining, coal transportation, and coal combustion, contamination of the surface and groundwater, forest loss due to mining, etc.
A review of various studies brings out that coal washing leads to higher-quality fuel with a better heat value (which could increase thermal emissions by as much as 4%–5% on existing pulverised coal-fired boilers with an accompanying reduction in CO2 emissions), reduces fuel quantity requirements (handled and transported) and cost of transportation for the same energy value, enhances utilisation of installed generation capacity, reduces capital expenditure in the power plant, reduces ash volume in both pre-combustion and post-combustion stages, and also reduces the land requirement for ash disposal. Thus, coal beneficiation is one of the ways to improve the heat value of coal used in power plants
The use of washed coal has the potential to reduce CO2 emissions arising from power plants. The study conducted at the NTPC’s Dadri Power Plant, which used washed coal with around 31-32% ash, revealed that more than 600,000 tonnes per year of CO2 emissions can be reduced from coal combustion. Thus, it can be stated that the use of washed coal in thermal power plants can have significant environmental benefits, like a reduction in carbon emissions per unit of energy generation through improved thermal efficiency. With the use of washed coal, which can be combusted efficiently with less air,
the formation of NOx could also be reduced. Further, the use of low-ash coal could also result in reduced particulates in the flue gas, leading to a reduced load on the electrostatic precipitator (ESP) and possibly enhancing the life of ESPs.
Rama Group has state-of-the-art coal beneficiation plants at strategic locations near the pitheads of Coal India Limited

ONE STOP FUEL SOLUTION
LOGISTICS & COAL HANDLING SERVICES
In the business of coal and minerals, the cost and efficiency of logistics operations play a key role. Maximum materialisation for our valued customers can only be possible with a strong logistic system. Therefore, management believes in a futuristic approach to strengthen its logistic capability, whether it is a continuous investment or the implementation of new ideas.
PRIVATE RAILWAY SIDINGS & DEDICATED FLEETS
The Group owns three private railway sidings at strategic locations, and two are in the process of development. Rama Group also owns more than 1000 fleets and other machines for effective logistic management. The purpose of our company is to provide
360-degree services to cater to the coal requirements of our customers.
DEDICATED RAILWAY WAGONS
Presently, there are constraints on rake availability, especially for certain sectors. To overcome the rake shortage, our company is shortly procuring four rakes under the GPWIS (General Purpose Wagon Investment Scheme) of Indian Railways, for which our company has already signed an MOU with Indian Railways and identified the manufacturer of rakes as per railway norms. These four rakes will be dedicated to the delivery of coal to ourcustomers well in time, so that the supply chain is not affected by the shortage of rakes with railways.
COAL HANDLING & ACTIVE MINE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
The primary mission of our clients is to secure quality coal and 100% materialisation against their FSA or under various schemes of CIL. We have a strong team of experts to provide liaison and handling services for our customers. It includes liaison with coal company railways and handling complete AMM (Active Mine Management) services.

COMMERCIAL COAL MINE
Rama Group has obtained the Marwatola-VII Coal Mine in Sohagpur Coal Field, District Umaria in Madhya Pradesh, through the bidding process in the auction of the 6th trench conducted by the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, under the MMDR Act, 1957.
Salient Features
- The Marwatola-VII coal mine is spread over 1200.00 hectares of land
- Reserve 188.00 million
- Grade G9 (steel and cement-grade coal) Commencement expected by April 2025
- Considering the sizable good reserve, production capacity, and coal quality (steel grade), this mine will cater to the needs of existing and upcoming coal-consuming industries in the sectors of steel, cement, and power generation
